THANK YOU !!!!!!

Thank you soooooooooo much to all the dancers, all the teachers, the parents
and everyone involved in this production !!!

AS always my vision came to life on that stage you are all amazing
and I can't wait to get going on our next production !!!!

Rest, relax and pat yourselves on the back I am so lucky
to be surrounded by such special people !!!!

DETAILED INFORMATION !
  Spring Recital Information
           2010
 This years performances will be held at the Desert Empire Fairgrounds
 Mesquite Hall. There will be stadium seating so bring a cushion if you like,
(like at a foot ball game)

Class and Rehearsals- Extra Rehearsals are for you, come to as many as
possible let me know if you can’t make rehearsal. Thank you.
May 24 through May 29th - Regular class schedule.
May 28th- Friday  5:30 Advanced Dancers only (High School and up) Peter Pan
May 30th-Sunday Advanced Dancers only (High School and up) 4:00-7p  run through Peter pan, Variations etc...
Ellen’s Adv Ballet Rehearsal (times were given to dancers)

Combo Dancers(ages 3-5)- The combo dancers will be performing Friday
and Saturday night , you may choose one performance or both.
Whatever works best for your family and you little dancer.
Costumes will arrive June 3rd. You may pick them up at the
studio after 4pm.
Due to the Memorial Day Holiday Miss Helenes combo Monday at 5:30
will not meet. (email me if you would like to have another class and I will set it up).
Miss Chelsea’s Combo on Thursday, June 3rd will meet.
Miss Michelle’s Combo on Friday, June 4th will meet.
**The only dress rehearsal for the combo dancers will be at the fairgrounds
Monday , June 7th at 6:00.

May 31st - Monday, Ellen’s Advanced Ballet Rehearsal 5:30
3:00 Run through Peter Pan Adv Dancers only.
June 1st-June 5th No regular classes. Your teacher
may request an extra class this week.

June 3rd Thursday- Barre 4p All Dancers Run through Peter Pan we will
start at 4:30
June 4th Friday- Graduation - Studio closed -
June 5th Saturday- No Formal rehearsal I will be available for anyone who wants 
to rehearse solo’s variations, variety dances etc...see Miss Helene
June 6th Sunday- Variety show run through location and time TBA.
June 7th Monday-Peter Pan 6p (5:30 warm up) Act 2 7p Dress Rehearsal.
June 8th Tuesday- Variety Show Dress Rehearsal Act 1 6p(5:30 warm up)
Act 2 7p at the fairgrounds.
Performances-At the Fairgrounds
June 9th and 10th - Variety Show, A Night in The Theater
6:00 show time 5:00 call time, younger dancers can come at 5:30p.
If you are only in the second act you may come at 7pm...
June 11th and 12th - Peter Pan
2:00 Matinee call time 1:00
6:00 show time 5:00 call time, younger dancers can come at 5:30p.

 Costume Questions- Please see Michelle Ostrom or your dancers instructor.

Green Room for Performances-
We will direct you at the Fairgrounds where you will need to take you dancer while they wait to perform.

 We ask you not to stand back stage as is small and the noise carries to the audience, it can also be distracting to the dancers performing. Please do not bring juice or soda, water is ok. If you need to bring snacks make sure they are not sticky or greasy. 
For the younger dancers one of  Dads old button up shirts is great to cover up their costumes. The little ones also get antsy it's ok to bring coloring books or quiet games to keep them occupied while they are waiting. You can bring a blanket for them to sit on as well. For Peter Pan the combo class dancers may leave after they dance or you can stay and watch the show please have them change out of costume if you stay, dancers in costume in the audience takes away from the "magic" of the production.  Thank you.

Tickets, Ads, Dvd's, Formal pictures -

Tickets will be available by Tuesday June 1st at Simply Dance and Bread of Life.
Prices- General $10.00  Military/Senior/Students $8   Children 10 and under $5
Studio Family Discount- First 4 General admission tickets $10  all tickets after 4 $8.
All soloists receive 2 tickets free. Combo students will be getting a complimentary child’s ticket with their costume.
Ads- See the front desk to purchase your personal ad. The deadline is Sunday June 6th. $10 with a picture $5 for just a message.
Dvds- Will be available at summer registration, dvd will be the best footage of all shows.
Formal Pictures- TBA

Volunteers Needed-
We can always use you support to make sure the performances.
Thank you in advance for your support. I would also like to thank all of you, for supporting your dancers bringing them to class every week and for all your encouragement. 
If you would like to help you can sign up at the front desk. We need volunteers in the following areas-

**Class parents (you will not miss your child dance you can stand side  stage and watch) 
**Baked goods for intermission -  This will be a fund raiser for studio equipment that needs replacing.
**Margie Steiner will be seeling Hershey Kiss Roses again to raise money for
the MS Walk $1 for single and $5 for bouqet.
**Collecting Tickets
**Handing out programs
**Helpers for intermission bake sale
**Dads for stage crew
Tuition for June-
June tuition will be half of your normal tuition since we are only dancing the 1st 2 weeks of June. All soloists that have had private rehearsal time will need to pay the full month of June. There will be no classes after performance week.


Summer Program-
Registration for summer will be June 18th 3p -7p and June 25 3p-7p Summer Dance will go from July 5th to July 30th. I will offer 2 intensive programs one for Advanced dancers and one for Jr High level, serious elementary school dancers.  Both will take place in August. Details will be out soon.

Auditions for Season 10-2011
Auditions will take place at the end of August, details will be out during the summer program. Dancers taking Ellen Bryant's Tech class on Tuesdays will be eligible to audition this next season. We will be performing The Nutcracker
in December,  A Contemporary Version of, “The Little Mermaid” a variety
show that will include  solo’s from Famous Musicals solo’s, solo’s will be by
audition only. 

Rules and Theater Etiquette- Very Important
THERE CAN BE NO FOOD OR DRINKS IN THE THEATER!
The following is a list of rules to ensure that the whole performance experience is a pleasant one. It takes a lot of patience and coordination
to put on a production with over 200 dancers. If your family has participated for several years keep your eyes open for those new dance families they could use your support, the first performance can be
a little overwhelming. Thank you.
** No flash photography, this can distract the dancers.
**Dancers ! Please pay close attention the the line up and when it is your time to go on some dancers have missed their queue because they were playing around and not paying attention.
**Video taping, please be courteous to those around you it can be distracting, we will be selecting the best footage from all the shows for the DVD.
**If you need to pick up your child after they have danced please wait until intermission or after the dance on stage. It is courteous to wait, remember he dancers on stage can see you leaving while they are
dancing. They have all worked hard for their moment on stage.
** Please leave all jewelry at home.
**Please put your dancers name on EVERYTHING ! it will be easier to find missing items after performance. Dance wear is expensive. We keep a lost and found at the theater and then at the studio after performance. If your dancer has more than one dance put their name on the hangers.
**Make-up - For all dancers with the exception of the advanced dancer.
Blush,soft blue or green eye shadow, rosy colored lipstick, mascara and darken the eyebrows if needed.









        This is a lot of information but I hope it 
    will answer most of your questions and keep you well informed
  of everything that is going on.
