Countdown to Nutcracker 11 days ....

Here is some information for you. Please feel free to ask

Us ant questions at all we are here for you.

Full December Tuition is due now for all combo classes

And all ballet classes no variety, tap, jazz etc...

For all dancers performing in the Nutcracker there is a 

Performance fee of $20 per family you get two free 

Tickets. 

All dancers that have special parts given by audition 

Need to pay a solo fee you can check with myself or 

The fd to find out the amount. 

***please take care of these fees before we are in the theater,

Starting tomorrow only combo classes and ballet classes will 

Take place. Variety classes will resume in January.

WHEN IT RAINS HARD HERE THE INTERSECTION OF RIDGECREST BLVD
AND RICHMOND GETS REALLY FLOODED AS I CAME INTO TEACH MY CAR 
SWIRVED A BIT AND TRIED TO GET STUCK...ALREADY PRETTY FLOODED(4:30)
I HAD CONTACT FROM SEVERAL DANCE FAMILIES THAT IT WAS HARD TO GET TO US...

AND I ALSO GOT INFORMATION THAT PARTS OF CHINA LAKE WERE CLOSED
AND THE BOTTOM OF COLLEGE HEIGHTS WAS BAD.

SO DECIDED IT WAS BEST TO CANCEL THOSE END OF THE NIGHT CLASSES
REMEMBER WHEN YOU MISS A CLASS YOU CAN ALWAYS USE OUR MAKE-UP POLICY TO MAKE-UP THE CLASS YOU MISSED.

This years performances will be held at "The Old Towne Theater" 

(previously the Batting Cages,the owners are turning this building into a community theater I would like to support this venture so we can have another theater to use in this community.)

NO VARIETY CLASSES IN DECEMBER !!!!!

Combo Dancers(ages 3-5)- Your combo dancers will be performing December 13 and 14th bring them at 6pm they will wait in the lobby. They dance first you can watch the entire show after or take your little dancers home whatever works best for your family and your little dancer.

The combo students will have no rehearsals at the studio just a dress rehearsal at the theater on December 11 at 5:30.

You also can make the choice of dancing both nights or just one

whatever your little ballerina would like.

A list is posted at the studio. The information board that sits on the TV table in the studio has all the recital information you need.(Will be out any day)

Green Room for Performances-

We will direct you when you arrive at the theater.

We ask you not to stand back stage it is small and the noise carries to the audience, it can also be distracting to the dancers performing. Please do not bring juice or soda, water is ok. If you need to bring snacks make sure they are not sticky or greasy. 

For the younger dancers one of Dads old button up shirts is great to cover up their costumes. The little ones also get antsy so it's ok to bring coloring books or quiet games to keep them occupied while they are waiting. You can bring a blanket for them to sit on as well. 

If your dancers would like to watch the show after they have performed

please have them change out of their costumes,because it takes away from the magic.

Tickets, Ads, Dvd's - TICKETS WILL BE AVAILABLE ANY DAY.

Tickets  Available at Simply Dance, Bread of life & Red Rock Books.

Prices- General $10.00  Military, Seniors & Students $8 

(Also college students)

Children 10 and under $5

All soloists receive 2 tickets free and each family will receive 2 free tickets

for paying the performance fee.

Ads- See the front desk to purchase your personal ad. The deadline is December 2 at the very latest.

Dvds- We will have the performance recorded and it will be ready shortly

after performances.

Volunteers Needed-

We can always use you support to make sure the performances run smoothly.

Thank you in advance for your support. I would also like to thank all of you, for supporting your dancers, bringing them to class every week and for all your encouragement. 

If you would like to help you can sign up at the front desk. We need volunteers in the following areas-

**Class parents (you will not miss your child dance you can stand side stage and watch) 

**Baked goods for intermission -  This will be a fund raiser to help pay performance costs.

Tuition -

Full Tuition is due for December please make sure all tuition and solo fees, costume fee’s and performance fee's etc.. are paid before we are at the theater. Thank you.

Rules and Theater Etiquette- Very Important

THERE CAN BE NO FOOD OR DRINKS IN THE THEATER AREA!

The following is a list of rules to ensure that the whole performance experience is a pleasant one. It takes a lot of patience and coordination

to put on a production with over 150 dancers. If your family has participated for several years keep your eyes open for those new dance families, they could use your support, the first performance can be a little overwhelming. Thank you.

** No flash photography, this can distract the dancers.

**Dancers ! Please pay close attention to the line up and when it is your time to go on. Some dancers have missed their queue because they were playing around and not paying attention.

**NO Video taping, it can be distracting to the audience and especially the dancers, we will be selecting the best footage from all the shows for the DVD.

**If you need to pick up your child after they have danced please wait until intermission or after the dance ends thats on stage. It is courteous to wait, remember the dancers on stage can see you leaving while they are

dancing they have all worked hard for their moment on the stage and it is hard to watch audience members leaving perhaps you could watch a

full performance.

** Please leave all jewelry at home.

**Please put your dancers name on EVERYTHING  it will be easier to find missing items after performance. Dance wear is expensive. We keep a lost and found at the theater and then at the studio after performance. If your dancer has more than one dance put their name on the hangers.

**Make-up - For all dancers with the exception of the advanced dancer.

Blush,soft blue or green eye shadow, rosy colored lipstick, mascara and darken the eyebrows if needed.

December 15- Jan 5th - Closed for winter break.

January 6th - Regular Class Schedule

When we return to class we will be excited to begin work on RAPUNZEL

(Tangled) and DANCE UPON A DREAM our variety show.

        This is a lot of information but I hope it

THE T-SHIRTS WILL BE HERE ON MONDAY I APOLOGIZE FOR THE ERROR THE COMPANY MADE WE HAVE USED THEM FOR YEARS AND EVERYONE MAKES MISTAKES THEY FEEL TERRIBLE. THEY WILL REFUND THE SHIPPING FEE BUT NO THE T-SHIRTS COSTS....

This is a big month for us we have a time for the relay for life,

Simply Saving Lives! We are registered on the relay website 

For Ridgecrest if you would like to join our team just register 

At relay for life Ridgecrest under our team name ~ it's a great cause.

I will be ordering t- shirts at the end of the week please pay for your t-shirt 

If you have not and or order if you would like one :)

You will notice in the lobby a bake sale table feel free to buy a sweet treat 

We are taking donations :) Feel free to bring a baked item as well!

At the desk we have "In Memory of " and "In honor of" cards we are selling for a $1 

They are displayed on the mirror all the funds are donated to the relay fund.

You can also sign up to walk or chaperone at the front desk.
